At Mental Health Matters Wales (MHM Wales), we believe wellbeing is for everyone—no formal diagnosis needed, just a space to relax, connect, and feel supported. This February, our Wellbeing Hub and Group Activities in Bridgend are here to help you unwind, socialise, and improve your mental wellbeing in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Whether you want to try music, art, walking, or social groups, our sessions are completely free and open to all.


Why Join a Wellbeing Activity?


Taking part in group activities can boost your mental and emotional wellbeing by:


Reducing stress & anxiety – Engaging in music, art, and nature-based activities can lift your mood.


Helping you meet new people – Social connections are vital for mental health.

What’s On in Bridgend This February?


🎸 Mondays – Music & Creativity


  • Guitars for Veterans (G4V Wales) (11:00-12:00) – A music programme designed to support military veterans through guitar lessons. 📍 MHM Wales, Union Offices


  • Breathing Space with Tanio (1:00-2:30) – Fun, music-based creative arts sessions open to all. 📍 MHM Wales, Union Offices

  • Wellbeing Hub + Breathing Space with Tanio (11:00-1:00) 📍 Wyndham Boys & Girls Club, Ogmore Vale


  • Wellbeing Hub (Feb 4th & 18th) (2:00-4:00) 📍 MHM Wales, Union Offices

🎶 Wednesdays – Singing, Nature & Walking


  • Conservation Group (Feb 5th) (10:00-2:00) 📍 Bedford Park, Cefn Cribwr – Connect with nature and community.


  • Melody Makers Choir (Feb 12th & 26th) (1:00-2:30) 📍 MHM Wales, Union Offices – Enjoy the wellbeing benefits of group singing (no experience needed!).


  • Wellbeing Walks (Feb 19th) (11:00-1:00) 📍 Bryngarw Country Park – A gentle guided walk from the café.


🌱 Thursdays – Outdoor & Community Wellbeing


  • Wellbeing Hub (Feb 6th & 20th) (12:30-2:30) 📍 YMCA, John St. Porthcawl


  • Reconnecting Nature (Feb 13th) (10:00-2:00) 📍 Merthyr Mawr Estate – Join our Conservation Wellbeing Days.


  • NEW! Connecting Carers with Tanio (10:00-12:00) 📍 MHM Wales, Union Offices – A session for carers to enjoy creative arts and social support.


🎨 Fridays – Art & Expression


  • Wellbeing Hub + Art Matters with Sinead (10:00-2:00) 📍 MHM Wales, Union Offices – A relaxed creative space for art and self-expression.

You don’t need a formal diagnosis—just come along and enjoy a friendly, supportive environment. Whether you want to improve your mental wellbeing, meet new people, or take time for yourself, our Bridgend-based Wellbeing Hub and activities are here for you.
