Are you an unpaid carer?
Whether you’re supporting an older relative, helping a friend, or caring for
a neurodiverse child, Connecting Carers is here to support you.
In partnership with Tanio, funded by Cwmpas, and supported by Bridgend County Borough Council,
this initiative provides unpaid carers with a unique opportunity to relax, connect with others, and
explore their creativity—all in a warm and welcoming environment.
What is Connecting Carers?
Caring for someone can be a rewarding but challenging responsibility, and it’s easy to forget to take
time for yourself. That’s why Connecting Carers offers:
Creative Arts Activities:
Enjoy hands-on sessions designed for everyone, no matter your skill
level.
Community Support:
Meet other carers, share experiences, and build connections.
A Safe Space to Recharge:
Take time out to focus on your own wellbeing in a relaxed setting.
The sessions are completely free, and all materials, equipment, and refreshments are provided.
When and Where?
Sessions run every Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at:
Mental Health Matters Wales,
Union Offices, Quarella Road, Bridgend, CF31 1JW
This is your chance to take a well-deserved break in the heart of Bridgend.
Who Can Join?
Anyone with caring responsibilities is welcome! Whether you’re looking after an elderly loved one,
supporting a child with additional needs, or simply providing unpaid care for someone in your life,
this space is for you.
