At Mental Health Matters Wales, we understand how vital it is to nurture your mental and emotional wellbeing — especially in times when support and connection matter most. That’s why we’re delighted to share our Wellbeing Hub and Group Activities calendar for July 2025, packed with opportunities to engage in creative, supportive, and socially enriching sessions throughout the month.
What’s Happening This July?

Our weekly activities take place in friendly, accessible venues across Bridgend and nearby communities, designed to meet a variety of interests and support needs:
Monday: Guitars for Veterans & Wellbeing Hub + Breathing Space
Guitars for Veterans (Mondays, 11.00 am – 12.00 pm, Union Offices, Bridgend) offers an innovative music programme providing lessons and support tailored for military veterans. It’s a chance to learn, express yourself, and connect with others who share your experience.
Later in the afternoon (Mondays, 1.00 pm – 3.00 pm), the Wellbeing Hub and Breathing Space welcomes all to relax through creative arts and breathing exercises, guided by Tanio — available on 7th and 14th July only.
Tuesday: Wellbeing Hub + Breathing Space with Tanio
From 11.00 am to 1.00 pm at Wyndham Boys & Girls Club, Ogmore Vale, join Tanio for fun, creative arts sessions designed to uplift and inspire. These take place on 1st, 8th, and 15th July.
Wednesday: Wellbeing Hub at Special Families Maesteg
Between 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm at The Fairfield Centre, Maesteg, you can join our Conservation Group on 2nd July — an opportunity to contribute to local nature conservation in Bedford Park. Or try the Gardening Group on 30th July, where gardening becomes a mindful practice for relaxation and wellbeing.
Thursday: Wellbeing Hub at YMCA, Porthcawl
From 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm, our Wellbeing Hub hosts sessions at YMCA, John Street, Porthcawl, featuring practical emotional health support, creative peer support, social activities, and workshops designed to help you thrive.
Friday: Wellbeing Hub + Art Matters
Finish your week with Art Matters from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm at MHM Wales Union Offices. This session offers a creative space to express yourself, develop new skills, and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of art.
