Welcome Mark Williams back to the team at Mental Health Matters Wales as our Information Officer for Bridgend and Borough!
Many of you will already know Mark from his previous work with us – and if you don’t, you’re in for a treat. Mark’s passion for mental health and wellbeing runs deep. With over 18 years of experience as a voluntary youth worker and a background as a published author, keynote speaker, and national advocate, he brings a wealth of knowledge, energy, and heart to the role.
Mark’s mission is simple but powerful: to connect people to the right support at the right time. Whether that’s through signposting, community partnerships, or keeping resources up to date, he’ll be working hard to make sure individuals, families, and professionals across Bridgend are informed and empowered.
In his new role, Mark will be:
Working closely with third sector organisations, local authorities, and community groups to raise awareness and promote available services.
Sharing updates on local and national mental health and wellbeing support.
Making sure the people of Bridgend know where to turn when they need help.
Keeping our community information up to date and accessible to all.
Mark is especially keen to connect with services across the borough. So if you’re part of a charity, community group, or support organisation and would like Mark to help promote what you do, or if you’d like to be kept up to date on mental health services and opportunities in Bridgend, don’t hesitate to reach out!
