Meet our Information Officer: Helping People Find the Right Support

At Mental Health Matters Wales, we know that finding the right support can be hard. That’s why our Information Officer, Mark Williams, is here to help.

Mark works across Bridgend County Borough to keep our information accurate and up to date. He connects with local services, keeps directories current, and shares useful resources with the community. His role is all about making it easier for people to find what they need — whether that’s:

Mental health support

Advice services

Local community groups

Crisis help

Housing and financial support

Peer support networks

Wellbeing and social activities

This week, Mark’s been out and about meeting with:

Bridgend Carers Centre to gather resources for unpaid carers

Valleys Steps to share new wellbeing workshops

Halo discussing all wellbeing services available

Mark also helps spread the word about new services and events. He talks to organisations, updates contact details, and makes sure the community knows what support is out there.
