As spring blooms and Easter approaches, we want to take a moment to wish all our supporters, partners, and communities a peaceful and positive Easter break. Whether you’re celebrating with family, observing religious traditions, or simply enjoying the long weekend,

Easter can be a time for reflection, renewal, and connection.
At Mental Health Matters Wales, we understand that while holidays can bring joy, they can also be challenging—especially for those struggling with isolation, anxiety, or grief. That’s why we’re sharing a few simple Easter Wellbeing Tips to help you take care of yourself and others during this time of year.
Pause and Reflect
Easter often symbolises renewal and hope. Take a few moments to reflect on how far you’ve come, the challenges you've overcome, and the goals you want to focus on. Whether through journaling, a walk in nature, or a quiet cup of tea, giving yourself time to pause is a powerful act of self-care.
Get Outside and Connect with Spring
The lighter days and blooming nature can lift our mood and reduce stress. Even a short walk in the fresh air can boost your mental wellbeing. Try spotting signs of spring—flowers, birdsong, or new growth—and let nature remind you that brighter days are ahead.
Make Time for Connection
Holidays are an ideal time to reach out to loved ones, whether it’s a quick phone call, a shared meal, or just checking in. If you’re spending Easter alone, consider joining a community activity or group. Connecting with others, even briefly, can have a big impact on how we feel.
Set Healthy Boundaries
It’s okay to say no. If the Easter weekend feels overwhelming, remember that your time and energy are valuable. Whether it’s limiting social events or managing family dynamics, prioritising your mental health is a positive and necessary step.
Treat Yourself with Kindness (Chocolate Optional!)
There’s nothing wrong with indulging in a bit of chocolate or a treat if that brings you joy—but self-kindness goes beyond what we eat. Rest when you need to, speak to yourself with compassion, and celebrate the small wins.
Reach Out if You Need Support
You don’t have to face things alone. Our team at MHM Wales is here to support you through life’s ups and downs. Whether you need advocacy, wellbeing support, or just someone to talk to, we’re here. You can also explore a wide range of services via our Linktree or contact us directly for more information.
Thank You for Being Part of the MHM Wales Community
As we enjoy this season of renewal, we want to thank everyone who continues to support our work—whether you’re a volunteer, service user, funder, or simply someone who believes in the importance of mental health.
Let Easter remind us all of the power of hope, community, and kindness.
From all of us at MHM Wales, Happy Easter. Take care of yourself—and each other.
