Weekly Advocacy Community Outreach Sessions in Swansea

At Mental Health Matters Wales, we are dedicated to enhancing support for parents and individuals facing mental health challenges. Our services include the [Parent Peer Advocacy Support Service PPASS https://ppass.cymru/ and Independent Professional Advocacy (IPA) https://www.swansea-ipa.cymru/in Swansea. Our recent partnership with the Jac Lewis Foundation is a significant development that strengthens our community outreach and service delivery.

The Jac Lewis Foundation https://jaclewisfoundation.co.uk/, known for its robust community engagement, offers weekly drop-ins that provide vital support and resources. These sessions offer:

  • Essential counselling

  • Engaging activities like arts and crafts

  • Therapeutic purposes

  • Community connections

We are proud to announce that MHM Wales has been added to the Jac Lewis Foundation’s list of recommended agencies. This inclusion is a testament to our commitment to providing meaningful support to parents, caregivers, and individuals, ensuring they have access to the advocacy and resources they need.

Community outreach is crucial for making our services accessible. Our partnership with the Jac Lewis Foundation helps us form strong community ties. This collaboration breaks down barriers that often prevent individuals from seeking help. More people can now access our PPASS and IPA services, which are designed to empower them through support and advocacy.

This collaboration allows us to expand our reach in Cardiff and Swansea, providing tools and support to navigate mental health challenges. We look forward to continuing our work with the Jac Lewis Foundation and other community partners to enhance the well-being of parents, families, and individuals.
