At Mental Health Matters Wales (MHM Wales), we recognise the vital role student volunteers play in supporting mental health, advocacy, and wellbeing. Whether you’re looking to gain experience, develop skills, or simply make a difference, we have a variety of opportunities for you!

Volunteer Opportunities at MHM Wales
We offer a range of volunteering roles to suit different interests and skill sets:
Peer Support Volunteer – Provide emotional support and a listening ear to those facing mental health challenges.
Dementia Hub Volunteer – Assist with activities and provide support to patients and their families.
Digital Volunteer – Support our campaigns, create engaging online content, and help raise awareness about mental health through digital media.

Advocacy Volunteer – Help people navigate mental health services and understand their rights.
Counselling Volunteer – Gain hands-on experience if you’re training in counselling by supporting individuals in need.
Wellbeing Services Volunteer – Support wellbeing initiatives, including mindfulness, relaxation sessions, and holistic therapies.
Art Volunteer – Use creativity to support mental health by facilitating art sessions and therapeutic workshops.
Eco Volunteer – Get involved in eco-therapy and community gardening projects to promote mental and environmental wellbeing.
