Yesterday was a truly joyful day across the Bridgend area, filled with creativity, connection — and plenty of chocolate!
We’re delighted to announce that our Easter Egg Raffle raised a fantastic £200 to support the continuation of our Dementia Hub in Bridgend. This vital community space offers ongoing support, connection, and care for individuals and families affected by dementia — and your generosity is helping us keep that going.

Creative Calm: Art at the Dementia Hub
Also yesterday, our Dementia Hub Art Group enjoyed a beautifully calm and creative embroidery session. Participants produced some stunning pieces — from colourful birds to vibrant flowers — with each design showing individuality and care.
Embroidery isn’t just a lovely way to pass time — it also brings a range of therapeutic benefits, especially for people living with dementia:

Enhanced hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
Reduced anxiety through calming, repetitive motions
